How One Spark turned into a Fairytale
Hi, I’m Heather, the founder of Fairytales & Friends.
This all started back in 2014 when I stepped into costume for a little girl’s birthday party. I still remember her face when she saw me. It wasn’t just excitement; it was that kind of belief you don’t forget. In that moment, I realized I wasn’t just playing a role. I was stepping into something she would carry with her.
That was the moment everything shifted for me.
With a background in theater and education, I began building what would become Fairytales & Friends. What started small has grown into a team of talented performers who now bring these experiences to birthdays, schools, hospitals, and community events across Middle Georgia. While we’ve grown over the years, what matters most to us has stayed the same.
A big part of that comes from my grandmother, Myrtle Harbin. She had a way of making everything feel special. She loved to dress up, tell stories, and create moments people remembered. That spirit shaped so much of how we approach what we do, even now.
As a team, we care deeply about the experience we create. It’s not just about how things look, it’s about how they feel for the child and for the families who invite us in. We want every interaction to feel thoughtful, personal, and worth remembering.
